This year's annual meteorological satellite conference is being organised jointly with the Amercian Meteorological Society and will take place at the historic Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria.

Please note the 2 new sessions:

  1. calibration and characterisation
  2. Satellite-based observation of the cryosphere

 

The deadline for submission of abstracts is 18 February 2013

About the AMS

The American Meteorological Society (AMS) promotes the development and dissemination of information and education on the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic sciences and the advancement of their professional applications. The Society’s goals are to:

foster an environment in which the government, academic, and private sectors in the atmospheric and related sciences and services work cooperatively to serve the public good

broaden the appreciation of advances in the atmospheric and related sciences and the value these advances provide to the nation and the world

About the European Meteorological Society

The EMS, founded in 1999, is an association of 36 meteorological societies in Europe. Twenty-nine Associate Members that include national meteorological and hydrological services, Europe-wide organisations, private service providers, manufacturers and educational institutions are an integral part of the community.

Its major purpose is to facilitate the exchange of information within the meteorological community in Europe and to support and enhance the activities of its Members by broadening their own role to the European scale. The major activity in that respect is the running the EMS Annual Meetings.
